Operations Center?  Really?  Welp, there's another dealbreaker.  i checked PMDG's site and they no longer offer their liveries the original way, which is a shame.  I guess the $90 covers the cost of this new (old) format and install.  Maybe they can offer an "old-timers" edition where you can install everything manually and pay a cheaper price?

Sorry to sound so bitter but I have a bad feeling that PMDG is now going to set the bar on aircraft sim prices now.  With the way aircraft are being designed and programmed these days, this will now be looked at as a baseline price comparison for payware. :(

As I see more of this aircraft and it's "amazing" features, the more it is becoming a hard sell for me.

I am going to state the case for those who don't have the greatest specs in the world for computer hardware but desire the opportunity to own and fly an aircraft of this caliber.  Thinking back to the days of the PMDG 747-400X, this was again an great creation from PMDG.  When I purchased it and installed it, i was so amazed by the detail and the way it was developed to mimic in every way, the 747.  After a little time behind the yolk, I started to see just how taxiing it was on my system.  Now granted, this was 2010 and since that time, I had upgraded my computer systems.  Point is, I have no doubt nor do I feel that anyone can get better than PMDG.  They work with Boeing for Pete's sake, so it is fair to state that for FSX, this si the kind of aircraft to own.  The major downside here are the specs printed by PMDG for the 777.  I took a gander at what they feel is what you would need to have the best experience in flight simulation and the way I see it, a lot of folks out there would need to head to their nearest computer store and start shelling out the bucks for upgrades.

I guess it would be nice for someone to come along and develop an aircraft with PMDG quality without bogging down the system. :(

As for the pricing, again, I have to question how PMDG determined it.  Their past aircraft have been lower and they included about the same amount of features...Looks like they are banking on the hype over this aircraft but I can only imagine the amount of bugs people come across.  I work in a helpdesk atmosphere so I can only imagine the kind of tickets they'll get at PMDG.

Oh yeah, i happened to notice one of the Liveries available, which is the updated Air France...why is it labeled Fictional?  If memory serves, the 777-300ER for Air France is exactly like the one depicted and I  have seen the real photos, so there is nothing fictional about it.

I can't even think about this plane right now, enjoying to much with A2A C172 right now, and I don't have the money 90$ is freaking a lot. I bought FTXG  in august, and C172 last night, where I can get another 90$?

@iFlysimX

Describe a little bit your impression with T7, a little bit more detailed impressioon, rather than "Guys this bird is AMAZING!!!". :)

How do YOU like the A2A C172 (first impressions please)?  I watched the vids and this looks great!

Pe11e, he may be waiting for his live feed later on which would allow for viewers to see it first hand.  I've already been spoiled by the CS777 so outside of normal ops, PMDG's offering still, for me, doesn't justify $90...I'm married and $90 is way too close to $100 (which with tax will probably push the total even closer).

Sorry to hear about your FTXG purchase but you DO now have an uninstaller! :)

I have only flown it for about 1 hour and its been really smooth. Great FPS but a very complex plane and lots to learn.

A2A C172 is amazing so far, it feels like a real Cessna airplane, truly it is. I flown one short flight though, more experience to come. :)

And wait, what?! I LOVE FTXG! I don't need an unistaller, who wants to go back to default? No thanks. :D

Oh...good...God.  Are we STILL on the wingflex thing again?  I recall a MUCH heated argument over at AirDailyX about that....probably what sparked the shutdown of the comments section too.  YES, the T7 wings flex, get over it!

I've been flying the 777 for a couple of days now and it's pretty good - I had a hunch that the price would be close to USD100 so I put some cash aside in a USD account about 12 months ago. Don't get scared by the specs they posted, I am running on an i7-920 overclocked to 3.6 GHz with 6GB RAM and a GTX285 video card and it is perfectly acceptable. Getting mid to high 20's in cruise, down to single digits in detailed airports but even with low frames the 777 is smooth as silk.
